Pharmaceutical business making drug filled syringes.

On-going project (2 days a month)..acting as a supply chain consultant to implement warehousing, manufacturing and MRP into an existing Navision implementation.

The company makes drug filled syringes on a bespoke basis.  From an inventory costing point of view, much of the stock is owned by the customer.

Currently implementing warehousing.

As usual the key business deliverables which will be implemented over the next few months are:

·        Formal production orders with routings and bills of material

·        Logging actual times to capture actual labour costs per batch

·        Logging actual material consumption

·        The final stage in the routing is sterilisation of the finished product by radiation.  We will utilise the subcontract functionality in Navision to coordinate and manage this process.

·        Analysing actual vs. expected costs

·        Implement MRP to manage the procurement process, many items being procured from specialist suppliers with long lead times.
